  • Original Colors -- As Purchased: CN 79775 pictured at the Adirondack Scenic Railroad in Utica, NY
  • Sister Caboose In Upstate NY: Sister Caboose to the NYC 79775 is CN 79612. This is what the buggy looked like before it was painted NYC colors. These were the factory colors on the CN caboose. Picture taken by Ian MacKeller owner of this caboose in his backyard in Upstate New York, and former owner of my caboose.
  • Partial Schematics
  • The First Try: This was the caboose I first attempted to win on EBAY but was outbid during the last 30 seconds by then a rival, now a friend Troy. He really wanted this buggy, an ex B&M number C102 renumbered in later years as 487. I think I cost him about $1,000 as we were the only two interested in this car and fought one night until the bids closed at 11pm. I thought he had given-up so to speak so I went upstairs for a minute and when I came back down to my computer he had won!
  • Caboose That I Bid On: Here Is The First Caboose I tried to buy on EBAY but lost
  • Third Try: Looked at these cabooses at Carver, Mass but were landlocked and with a crane and trucking they were going to be way too much.
  • Second Try: Wanted This Caboose but the owner wanted $20,000, way too much.
